Hi Ann, we are back in the cold after a great week of painting and enjoying the company of wonderful ladies who greeted me like I was a friend they had known for a while.  I throughly enjoyed my time in Bali and hope to go again next year.  Loved the whole experience - Helen T

** The Ann Steer Bali Painting Retreat held from May 15th to 21st, 2025, in Seminyak, proved to be an absolutely delightful and enriching experience. Nestled directly on the beautiful sands of Seminyak Beach at The Pelangi Hotel, the retreat offered a truly idyllic setting for artistic exploration and relaxation.

Our group found the beachfront location to be nothing short of perfect. Waking up and being able to go for long walks before heading back for coffee and breakfast at the hotel was magic

Ann Steer, with her extensive experience as a professional artist and over 15 years of teaching, was an exceptional guide. Her patient and encouraging approach made the five dedicated painting sessions a joy, regardless of our individual skill levels. Whether we were beginners or more advanced painters, Ann fostered an environment where everyone felt supported to explore their creative potential. All necessary art materials were provided, making the artistic process seamless and stress-free.

Beyond the structured painting time, the retreat struck a fantastic balance between artistic focus and leisure. The Seminyak location allowed for easy access to local shops and attractions, giving us ample opportunity to explore the vibrant surroundings. Evenings were spent enjoying delicious meals, sharing stories, and forging wonderful new friendships. The camaraderie among the group was truly special, adding another layer of enjoyment to the entire experience.

The Anns Painting was more than just a painting holiday; it was a harmonious blend of artistic growth, beachfront bliss, and genuine connection. For anyone seeking to combine their passion for art with a rejuvenating escape in a stunning location, led by a truly inspiring instructor, this retreat comes with the highest recommendation. We left with not only beautiful artwork but also cherished memories and lasting friendships.
